Internet Not Working Ubuntu 18.04. I have just upgraded to ubuntu 20.04.1 lts from ubuntu 18.04 lts, after getting upgrade suggestions from software updater. I tried a few commands and sudo apt update says 'connection failed' and ping google.com literally takes forever as you can see in this screenshot:.

I encountered the same problem on my ubutnu 18.04. But now i can't access the internet. What does it mean if you're connected to wifi but no internet with ubuntu 18.04 (networking, network manager, internet, linux)?

Click the “additional drivers” tab, then select the “wireless network adapter” option. Use the iso image to install additional wifi drivers in ubuntu.

I have the same problem with a mac host and kubuntu 18.04 lts guest. Now none of my internet connection work (neither ethernet or wifi), although both are recognized in the ‘network connections’ panel.

If this one is not present then we will need to sort this out. Look down the list of information and see if there is an item related to the wireless network adapter.

Ok, first make sure you disable secure boot in your bios (if your computer for some reason does not boot afterwards remove the powercord and battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds to power cycle it) and once back in ubuntu run.
